Dental Veneers

Dental Veneers - Eton Dental, Canoga Park Dentist
If you have teeth that could use whitening and are misshapen or unevenly spaced, veneers can help correct these issues. Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain or composite plastics which are bonded to your natural teeth, covering up any imperfections and creating the look of a whiter more balanced smile. Treatment with veneers can benefit those whose teeth are worn down, chipped or broke, spaced too far apart, or irregularly shaped.

During your first visit, your natural teeth will be shaved down to allow space for the veneers. when this is done, impressions of your teeth will be made and sent to a lab to create the veneers. In the meantime, temporary crowns or caps will be used to protect your teeth as you await for your new veneers to be made.

When the veneers arrive you will come for a second visit where the veneers will be fitted and bonded to your natural teeth. Dr. Kenney will compare the veneers to your natural teeth to check that color matches, while continually trimming the edges for optimal fit. Your teeth will then be cleaned, polished, and etched to maximize the effectiveness of the bonding. When the veneers are set, we will check to ensure your bite is correct and that the veneers have adhered properly before you are sent off to enjoy your new smile.

Veneers will last forever if properly cleaned and cared for before they need to be replaced. Other treatments that are used to correct similar issues are dental bonding and crowns. If you are interested in the benefits of veneers schedule a visit with Dr. Kenney where she can answer your questions, examine your teeth, and determine if you are an ideal candidate for veneers. We will be able to go over the treatment, what results you can expect, and the approximate cost for your procedure.
